“What Years of HOA Collections Have Taught Us”
Working with over 800 associations nationwide over many years revealed recurring patterns. Board notices were ignored, balances continued to grow, and associations were left without funds to operate. Legal escalation was often the next step — but attorney involvement proved expensive, slow, and frequently resulted in limited recovery.
As we worked with these associations, a different approach emerged—where expectations were clearly established, communication became consistent, consequences were applied evenly, and delinquencies were addressed effectively. Fewer balances escalated, and boards spent less time managing disputes or explaining unpredictable outcomes.
Over that time, it became clear that recovery alone was not enough. Boards needed visibility into the full process, documentation they could rely on, and confidence that rules and laws were being followed consistently. Oversight and predictability proved essential to maintaining trust within the community. This insight became the foundation of our approach.

Focused Experience Built for Community Associations
For more than seventeen years, this division has worked exclusively with homeowner associations facing delinquent assessments. We have assisted over 800 communities nationwide, helping boards recover unpaid dues while maintaining consistency, compliance, and board oversight throughout the recovery process.
Community Collection Service is the HOA division of an A+ BBB rated national collection corporation with 44 years of experience. Our sole focus is helping associations recover assessments while maintaining control of their accounts, and ensuring costs are contained.
In addition to working directly with associations and management companies, our services are also used by law firms to perform early-stage collections. Attorneys then rely on documentation produced through our process to satisfy courts’ due-diligence requirements when initiating legal action on any remaining unresolved accounts.
A Thoughtful Next Step for Association Leadership
Every association faces different circumstances when addressing delinquent assessments. Community Collection Service works with boards and property managers to evaluate existing challenges, clarify available options, and determine whether a structured, accountability-based approach is the right fit. A brief conversation can often provide clarity, direction, and answers before issues further escalate.
How Our Role Fits Within the Collections Landscape
Our role is to support boards’ governance decisions and assist in achieving them. By emphasizing consistency, accountability, and transparency, we help associations address delinquencies while protecting association leadership, preserving community standards, and maintaining long-term operational stability.
